Hertz is seeking for a Senior Accountant to join its strong team in Croatia!

Job Description:

• Receiving and reviewing accounting documentation
• Independently posting incoming and outgoing invoices, bank statements, travel orders, journal entries, etc.
• VAT calculation and withholding tax calculation
• Preparing reports for government institutions: Tax Administration, Croatian National Bank, Croatian Bureau of Statistics, Customs Administration, and communication with them
• Maintaining the fixed asset register, including depreciation and amortization calculations
• Reconciling open items with suppliers and customers
• Participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
• Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements and audit documentation
• Performing other accounting tasks as assigned by the employer

Candidate Profile:

• High school or university degree in economics, preferably with a certified accountant license
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting
• Good knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
• Familiarity with Croatian Financial Reporting Standards (HSFI); knowledge of IFRS/IAS is an advantage
• Proficiency in accounting software systems
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work independently and responsibly, with a strong attention to detail and deadlines
